Hi guys, i am just wondering how often do you guys change your brake pads? i went for servicing not long ago and was told that my rear brakes have only 50%. does this mean that i should change my brake pads now? or when should i change it? pls give me some suggestions!!!

thanks!!

50% means you can still run around 25,000km+ if you don't brake very hard and just gentle daily driving:D(correct me if i am wrong) i ran 40,000km now and i am expecting another 10,000km+ from my current brake pads!

bought my accord in May 2000, that time replaced rear brake pads. i have done more than 100,000 kms since than and still breaks are working great.

pad life will vary with driver habbits. also weather its a auto or manual.
being only 50% worn you should have lots to go. rears dont wear as quick as the fronts. they should monitor this for you between services and if you have genuine pads in there you will hit the squeelers before you risk and damage of low brake pads.

Also remember rear pads wear slower than the fronts, so you still have heaps of km's to go.
