View Full Version : Help! removing 96 EK headlight

hi i need help on removing the headlight on my civic anyone got any idea..if possible photo graphes? thanks

Its quite simple...

Remove the fron bumper = screws in the wheel archs and few underneath, also remove the black clips from the grill...

then there are 3 bolts holding in each headlight, then just unclip the wires to the globes...

its abit basic instructions, but im sick bad - i think ben did a write up somewhere which in the first few steps explains how to remove a bumper off his eg - which is a similar process...

Remove front bumper,
2 x 10mm nuts underneath u will find 4 nuts only 2 need to come off,
two screws in the wheel archs on either side,
remove black clips from the gril and the bumper (7 Clips total)
4 bolts not 3 are holding the light in, 2 on top, 1 on either side,
all nuts are 10mm,
then remove light and unclip wires.
not that hard takes about 5 mins

thanks guys.. just dat i tried it.. the bumper seems to sag abit.. somethin i did wrong?

u prolly didnt screw it back properly. ive done it to my car.. and when i put it back it was perfectly alright. try do it again

5mins? wow you must do it for a livingg
jacking it up and crawling under takes around that much time for meee

haha, nah i reckon arnd 20minutes if your not in a rush

once you do it a few times u can do it in about 5 mins... or if your like me and only have the 2 wheel arch screws and 3 scrivets holding your front bar on :D

just follow mr plows instructions, they might be basic but it is basic to do so yeh......takes a few minutes

Yea thanks.. it's quite easiy to take it off, But puttin after market ones is quite trouble, Especialli when wiring a bit F...:(
