painting rims

just wondering...if i dont want the rims to be silver
is there a way i can respray it to red /white?

as for rims, i'm assuming silver isnt chrome in your case. You would need to either sand them well or sandblast them to get rid of all the shiney covering then put a base coat and spray on top

recently i painted my bros ek hubcaps & they look mad
wat i did is:
-washed it w/ soap .
-after drying, i used fine sandpaper.
-base coat (primer?) hehehe
& painted the "H" logo as wel with a red paint

it showed up pretty good :)

does any1 have a rough guesstimate on how much it would all cost to get your wheels sandblasted and repainted?

obviously you have to take the rubber off the wheel.. so in the mean time do they hire out tyres to hold up your car?

if u get them sandblasted and painted
a good place .. + a decent priced place is about 50/rim
not including removal and fitting of tires.

yeh i got the hatch gt-wing lying around
i think that wont ruin the outlook too much and gives it a racey feel
and i am putting red recaro copies in it...the point is to make it mini racey:D
so i think i go with white rims?
and black gt-wing to suit the respray car colour?
anyone know where i should take it done or should i do it myself?
