Is this possible as a plug in?
In that case, would there be any benefits power wise?
And would the cut out be higher as well making thinking likes aftermarket cams more beneficial to the engine with something like an e-manage rather than a standalone computer?
early model E-ek9 ecu will plug into *EK4 b16a only*
late model EF-ek9 ecu will not work on any other hondas.
i dont see a real advantage over a stock b16a unless you bring the spec of the b16a on par of b16b.

it also depends what model your using it on?
the b16b was developed after 96, so its definatly an obd2 ecu.
gen 1 b16a uses the obd0 system, while the 2nd gen uses the obd1 system untill 96, then it changes to obd2a and obd2b .. to be honest im not sure the dif between the a and the b from the obd2 but the point is... unless your using a b16a from a 96+ model car.. it will not plug in unless you get a harness converter

Would it be a good idea as a cheap "chip" in a way?
Plus this would also increase cut out making it better if the B16A has some cams and other sort of mods which bring peak power rpm higher
