Hi All,

Was looking at getting some Fightex Coilovers Type FS. But was just wondering if any suspension shop in Australia can rebuild, and is willing to rebuild them if anything goes wrong. Thats assuming that they are rebuildable in the first place, well they better be for the price.

I called fulcrum, and the guy just said it all depends on parts and if they are rebuildable to begin with, so that wasn't much help.

Adrian rep of TODA from OZ, maybe you could answer this one????

Aren't they just Showa shocks anyway?

Not sure if they're rebuildable though.

Yeah, I am pretty sure they are Showa ones too. TodaAU should know all about them though

I looked at getting a second hand set a couple of years ago and spoke to Adrian. They are rebuildable but have to be sent back to the factory in japan. i think it was around 250 per shock just for replacing the seals, anything else thats bent or broken was extra.

mother @@#$@#$@#$ that's ridiculous. I hope the build quality is so great that it never has to be rebuilt then..... :(

Just don’t turn the dampener up really high on the streets or make the car crazy low. If you do either of those two things you will probably blow the seals due to pot holes etc

Sounds more expensive than getting my Ohlin race shocks rebuilt!!!

That's definitely more expensive than rebuilding the Koni's we use.
