its...pretty easy. Pull out the two plastic covers , remove the globe/wiring and shimmy in ur hand and access the 6 or so 8/10/12mm bolts - then push out the old ones and slie in the new ones

if you got clear indicator sections have an orange bulb handy. I had trouble finding one that would fit the stock bulb holder, so i filed on of the nipple things down off the bulb, taped it in for security. If yours are cheap ones you may also need to file a bit of the plastic to screw the bulb in. It also might be a good idea to put some clear silicon around the edges (in the seal) to prevent leaking in the future.

The plastic moulding comes off fine dude.

Start at the back of the car. At the bottom, there should be a piece of moulding that comes off with a little force. Once you have that off, you can start working around with your screwdriver, pulling off the moulding till you can get to the bolt you need to.

Just be careful that you remember to plug the lights back in. I forgot and had to spend an extra 10 minutes taking it all apart to do again. This is a 30-60 minute job, not a 2 hour one :p

Edit: By back of the car, I mean the boot... It's hard to explain without pics.

Also, there should be a plastic screw thing behind the side of the seat.

shit, the sedan is piss easy compared to the hatch...
all i did, was open the boot, remove the plastic coverings (over the wiring n shit) undo 4 little bolts with a spanner and pop the lights out

u could drill a hole in the plastic.. lol

timmya2
08-07-2005, 01:21 AM

Have you managed to work out the taillight problem?

I'm planning to get altezza lights too, and was playing around in the boot, figuring where to take out the light just the other day.

Lukezen27

if you mean on the tail gate you dont need to if you have the right tools you can do it by just removing the covers )the ones that you take of to change bulbs)...
