I've heard that people in the states run D16A or ZC pistons for a higher compression ratio in there Y8/Z6s. Would these pistons give a higher compression in a D16Y4? Thanks

google 'dseries compression calculator' ive posted the link before.

I've tried that, it comes up with like 14.99:1. But the guys on the us forums say that fitting the ZC/D16A pistons give a comp ratio of around the 12:1 ish. is 14 too high??

from what i remeber you had to deduct something from teh 14.99 and then your total compression would be in the 12 range.

you not going to tget 12:1 CR from using D16A/ZC pistons. the bottom end of these is pretty much the same as the D16Y. you might gain .2 compression from this.
the difference in pistons is that the JDM ZC uses domed pistons as compared to flat top pistons on the AUDM D16A8 which i'm quite sure uses same as D16Y. this gives an extra ~0.2 compression
