View Full Version : The Honda Jazz Technical Picture Tread

Hi!

The goal of this tread is to include pictures of engine, suspension, exhaust and other technical illustrations and/or pictures. In time I will try to make a collection and write up some summaries, with diffrences between the various models, parts that are swappable, and hopefully be able to make HOWTO's for the users of this board.

Help me to help you!

If possible, try to have the pictures taken with good light, and high resolution. I want the pictures to be as neutral as possible, so that they may be exploded and enhanced to better show the specifics. If you don't have a place to host up the pictures, I can host them for you. If so - just mail them to me - but please include what car, year, model, etc you have.

This is what I want pics of:

Suspension (Dampeners, Springs, Controll Arms, etc)
Exhaust Systems (Mounts, OEM, Aftermarket)
Bodyparts (Front, Rear, Lips, Kits)
Engine and Drivetrain (Enginebay Pics, Mods, Intakes etc)

In time, I hope this will help others find tech info to help them choose parts for their car, do easy mods and maybe come up with new ones.

When I get my GD1 I will start to take some pictures and hopefully some measurements to go with it.

"Will my VTi suspension fit on a 2000 1.3A?"
"Can I use that exhaust syetem for my car?"
"What mods are needed to ....?"
"How do I remove the .....?"

These are the kinds of questions I hope to be able to provide the answers too, and if we succeed, this post, this board, may be a reference point for Jazz information for the rest of the world! Imagine that!!

... but only if you guys think its worth the effort, and find it interesting :)

Yup.. I DIY-ed my heatshield, with a heat insulating material, thats abt 1/2 inch thick! I got it from those shops selling "ARMAFLEX".. Its a foam material, actually. Took me abt 30 mins to set up the heat shield! :)

If I'm in Australia, I won't helping you guys to do it.. Hee.. So sorry, I'm @ Singapore now. :p

Anyway, its pretty easy!!

Whats the deal with the brakestopper? To retrofit a diffrent brakebooster or something?

MR Spyder

Whats the deal with the brakestopper? To retrofit a diffrent brakebooster or something?

By using the Brake Cylinder Stopper, the unwanted flex of the brake master cylinder is prevented when the brakes are applied. Thus makes the Brake pedal touch stiffer and braking operation more controllable.

I've no regrets ever since I installed this brake stopper! :) Braking definitely feels much more better, without the 'spongy' feeling anymore!

Interested?
