lookin at getting sum new speakers for the EG hatch, was wondering what size they are before i start ripping it apart.

um u hardly have to rip it apart. you dont even need to take off the door trim. the lil pllastic cover just pops off. they are 4" speakers.

do your windows go all the way down? or u got some sort of custom job there?
stock speaker size is 4".

windows wind down fine..
no custom job i know of..
there's a black bracket behind the stock 4inch speakers..
i just took them off..

If your going to put in 6" speakers I would make up some MDF spaces, these go between the speaker and the door, this allows the speaker to sit closer to the plastic cover and can also protect them from water damage as they then will sit inside the door trim.:thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Yup that’s what ya do, but.........

Make sure ya put a few washers behind the speaker coze you can scratch the window class with the back of the speaker if ya got large Mag backs

4 washers on each hole was about right when I did mine

I scratched my tint first time I did mine DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
