how do you use these gears, how do you know were to set it, is there much gain with dialing in stock cams, or does it work better with aftermarket ones?

They will make a difference. On Ducati engines where specs seem to be notoriously out of wack from the factory, dialing my cams back to factory spec netted about 5hp more.

only 5 you say? well, this is a 916cc 2 cylinder engine pushing out >100hp ATW, and carrying 200kg only.

For the love of god - DONT mess with camgears unless you know what you're doing - and don't have any way of measuring the output. From the question I take it that your technical skills aren't the best (no disrespect ment!) - and there is no need for adjustable camgears unless you go with larger lobed camshafts and some kind of programmable PGMFI.

not for me to do but get a workshop mechanic to do it.
