this might sound a little silly but do the red honda badges on tegs mean anything. I know you can go ahead and put em on yourself as accessories but did any vtir tegs come out with them, say in japan, to represent some "LTD" status.

cheers guys

Yep.... World-wide. Red badge for Type R's only.
That's why pinheads take em. Put in on a Jazz...etc.
But just like you, Most people don't see the red badge, then automatically think..."Ohh take a look at the Type'R' Jazz."

In 'best motoring' they say that only the race bred vehicles are issued with a red badge.

The Championship White Paint and Red Honda "H" is traditionally used for Honda's that have "race pedigree", stemming from their first year venture into F1 back in 64.

There you go.... little bit of Honda history for the day :)

should start an alliance
- any non type r car with a ORIGINAL (not rice orangey fake) honda red badge or type r badge that is seen by the alliance - will strip the badge from that car and give it 2 whoever had there badges stolen

i think its fair!!

I don't.

I'm not one for putting red honda badges on cars other than R cars, but what flippin' right do you have to touch other peoples property?

hes saying since that person most prob stole that badge off someone else's car, it OK to steal it back and give it back to another person who had their stolen.

But eh, 2 wrongs dont make a right

All the type R has the red "H" emblem. Besides the US. they get that corny looking Acura symbol. :thumbdwn:

I got a quote from Peter Warren at Warrick Farm for $100, the original ones.
Not worth it, and you always have to worry if its going to get badged again!!
Imagine the look on the thief's face when he steals a fake Type R badge.. lol

If you are buying an after market one, make sure they fit!! different car need different badge, as curl of the panel is different.

Just keep your original badge...
I hate integras that are made so as to look like a Type R.

i'm down for stripping the bastards rocking real type r badges... y? cos if they have a real red badge and not driving a type r but a riced up teg or civic or accord, it's cos they couldn't afford the real thing in the first place... an ITR. so they drive around wif their $2 mods and their $100 badges... sif they bought it. u can tell i'm p*ssed cos i had both my genuine red badges nicked only like a few months after i got my car... fockers!

anyway, genuine dc2/ek9 badges used to be $120 each... now they're 90 last time i checked... doubt they're 45 bucks else hook me up. yeah dc5r/ep3 ones will be more expensive cos they're newer...
