I was wondering anyone here who has a a 94-95 accord with a h22a transplant, what times have you guys run?:honda:
And also is there a difference between a h22a converted accord or a h22a prelude 94 model... performance wise?
I am planning to do a conversion and mod it up quite a bit, but i am thinking if it would really worth it?
cheers:thumbsup:
h22a accord

check the timeslip gallery, you will see two h22a accords with times in the 14's. a little bit faster than any prelude listed.
I think the accords with h22a's have an edge in performance as they are running japspec engines with jap spec ecu's.
is it worth it?
well, sure! find an accord with broken motor for cheap, swap in a h22a and u have some really good bang for your bucks. if u dont want/need a 4 door sedan and not phased by the drop in performance and want to spend a bit extra to get a h22a prelude then by all means, go for that too!

hmmz well,i really liked the idea of a h22a, and i also plan on tracking the car as well. maybe once every 3 months or so?
and i also like the idea of it being a car that wont get that much attention from cops.. is that true? have u been haggled less by the cops?
and the weight of the accord and prelude isnt much differnce right? around 1300kg?

i used to have a fat tanabe hyper medallion muffler on the back of my car and i got defected twice for it as it drew attention on an accord, so i guess u could say i was hassled by the cops. I took it off, and put a normal looking sports muffler with twin tips welded on and i havnt been hassled since.
prelude and accord weight is pretty much the same i think.

On the track there will be a rather large difference in terms of times for a h22a lude and h22a accord. Prelude is rather nimble around the track for a car of its size, where as the accord is not as nimble. If you get the suspension upgraded (i.e shocks/srpings or coilovers plus some strut bars) then it will be better, but if tracking is ur think, go the lude.
