THanks! Yeah, its totally OK for a B16A engine with light mods.. Its nothing big, I just slammed her in my Civic and gave her some tuning. My current project is WAAAY more fun :)

great numbers,

can i ask the details of the machining involved on the conrods to have the pistons fit?

also are these oversized PCT pistons? or did you use the standard bore size with standard rings in the stock bore?

Thanks in advance

I bored the block to 81.25mm and honed it. The Pistons of course, were 0.25mm o.s. The PR3 rods has to be machined 0.5mm on both sides to fit under the pistonskirt.

Nice Project...... that's what i wanna do before and you do it for me :-P hehe
very nice numbers too

168whp that's about 125kw on wheel? That's pretty similar to some other civics with toda cams i think

Thanks for the reply,

If you dont mine me asking what is the static compression ratio after having this done? I've read many mixed opinions on internet forums, just wondering if you checked before reassembling everything.

Many thanks

11.96:1 is the static. Compression test measured ~280PSI on all four - within a margin of 6 PSI diffrence from top to bottom result measured.

Wow, good figures, I have the extact same mods except more head work and modified combustion chamber, with 12:4:1 CR and also ITR Cams instead. It's getting chipped and tunned in Sept, hoping for the same result as you.

YOu dont need a chip - you need S200 and a GOOD tuning :)

Nice Results dude, I’m getting similar results from clients cars with almost the same specs, good combination of Honda Parts, time to get your hands on some racing fuel advance the ignition and fuel to suit and go racing…

Yup
Dave will be coming to Adelaide, home of ProECU, for that "Good" Tuning.

What kind of tuning are we talking about? And how do you go about tuning high compression in a hot country such as Australia? Must be a pain in the ass if your fuel cant push it. Norway is kinda nice that way. Mostly cold weather - sometimes a bit humid tho. I always go retarded and rich when running in new cams, pistons and new parts in general. I then do tuning in two stages - wideband first :)

We have great fuel out here… stupid internet myth that we don’t… we have almost zero ethanol count, and when it reaches more than 3% we make “current affairs news: programs on TV about fuel people ripping us off.. ehehehehe yet in the USA its very typical to have more than 15% ethanol ! on a less octane rating fuel LOL Never underestimate Australians.
