Do a reset and it will take a few runs for it to be up to speed.

You reset the ECU by removing the negative pole on the battery for approx 1 hour. The ECU will the re-learn the closed loop program, and hopefully the car won't run lean.

Yes it works...saw it on the dyno

i'd say take it to the dyno, let them do it while tune it to the best too
but in the end of the day, you'd wanna get more mods before doing that kinda thing, it's not something you take your car to do every so often if you're not loaded

I'd like to know how you plan on dynotuning that on a Jazz, taking that the ECU wont let you alter Injector Duty Cycle.

if you disconnect the battery for an hour..you should reset your CVT and power windows aswell (if you have the cvt variant)

ok once its off for a hour or so, then do you drive it around the block at normal speed, or open it up? (WOT)

cheers

WOT man!!!!

Just give it a few hits to get up to speed.

It took about 4 or 5 runs on the dyno before it had sorted everything out for me.

And don't forget to reset the driver side wiondow as the auto down/up function won't be working.

WOT man!!!!

When you reset the ECU, you reset the Closed Loop fuel and ignition tables. Closed Loop operates from 1500 RPM and up to 3800 RPM (Up to 60% @ TPS) on the GD1 and 4000 (Up to 50 @ TPS) on the GD3. So as you can see - running WOT after you just reset the ECU won't do anything for the fuel and ignition maps.

The proper way to reset the auto windows memory is :

1. Push the switch all the way down until the window is down, hold for 2 seconds...

2. Pull the switch all the way up until the windows is up, hold for 2 seconds..

This will reset the auto-windows memory.

(This is in car manual... btw)

Because the the "AUTO" Window UP/Down stop working.. You need to reset the memory so that when you push the button all the way down and the window will go all the way down automatically .. (only for the driver side window) and up vice versa.

The auto memory for the window will get back once you use it a few times. You don't really need to hold it down 2 secs and up 2 secs. After you drive around a bit, usually the function comes back on. This has worked on all my cars before without having to reset...

reset the auto window?

yes...... reset the auto window...... :)

cos after you have disconnected your battery, the auto function on your driver side window may not work.

when you would normally "flick" the switch up and the window auto goes all the way up. this is the "auto" bit. after the battery is disconnected i lost this function. in the manual they say push the button, all the way down, then slide the glass via the button all the way up and hold the button up a further 2sec.

I did this and good as new. car is running much better (still a jazz though ;) )
