blue parkers was 1 of the things i got defected for.
some cops will let u get away with it but if you get the smartarse 1s like the 1 that defected me then they'l defect you for the smallest & stupidest things.
bloody pigs!!

answer 2 all defect question...?

if its not engineered with engineering certificate or not stock from factory or a oem factory option....

DEFECT !!

It's stupid - I dont understand how something that makes you more visible than your average car is considered "illegal"

anything that is different colour to the oem is defectable.
apparently you can add additional lights that are blue but you can't modify the oem light colours. Even underglow neons.

Thats what i got out of a cop the 2nd time i was pulled over for them.
Just got a warnings. Play dumb, and be agreeable. Or just offer to pull them out... all you need is a screw driver.

what it is is that you are ony meant to have white or yellow lights facing forward from your car....eg headlights and blinkers...

so the blue lughts are a distraction to other drivers.....and honestly not worth the hassle IMO....and that comes from experience of being defected with them......the thing is that when youre driving at night its really obvious to a copper in front of you lookin in their rear view....

and if i remember correctly its a $145 fine in NSW

and the other tghing is that since your parkers are under the your headlights rather than in the same encasement it is impossible to hide

Not really because it is a distraction, but blue and red lights are reserved for police and emergency vehicle use only.

if ur in syd, i would take em out man.. the cops introduced a new law, if u get defected now its not just a fine, its a loss of 3 points too..

I just had a look through the list...

http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/rulesregulations/downloads/0705_demerits_general.pdf

I couldn't find any evidence of that there. You guys should really check things before you claim them.

well to be honest, modifying your car at all can be defective, depends on how well the cop knows the mod laws, like i had my 17inch whell and tyre measured and fell 2mm inside the legal dimater.........
