I found this (http://www.psiproducts.com.au/documents/PSINewMetalCatad.pdf) while looking for hi-flow cats and I'm still unsure about credibility of this product.

What are your thoughts?

Only way is to chuck them on a dyno... I haven't heard of them either but pfft who needs cats <_< Bring on the flames!
Jking... ask a few workshops, I doubt you'll get any informed responses here.

These are a good thing.
Catco now also produce spiral wound metal matrix cat converters too...
The OEM S2000 cat is of this type of construction - design.
This ad is not bull, it is fact.
Spiral wound metal cats are better than the ceramic dungers.
Be warned... They cost more too...
As more manufacturers get the idea, they'll get cheaper.

Yup i looked at this recently also. They cost about $700+. They are less likely to break and have better flow. I know someone who put it on and gained 5kw at the wheels.(was at the exhaust workshop when the customer rang in and told the mechanic the good news). And that was without further tuning.

They are also guaranteed not to fall apart like your normal cats.

I find these gains hard to believe unless the cat that had been there was well and truely rooted.

Up to you mate just stating what i head. Apparently he had Dyno charts to prove it but i didn't hang around to see them. Btw the car was a Skyline GTS.

I know it is just what you heard bro.... I'm not having a dig at you.:)

Do you know if the original cat was stuffed before being replaced?

Also thanks for stating what car it was.
