so when people talk about the CAI in terms of a pipe running from the front bumper to the POD do you guys mean the pipe is drilled into the actual pod filter or is drilled into the air box and sealed? and do you just leave the pipe hanging behind the bumper or hook it onto something? i'm new to this stuff so any help would be awesome.

i've got a Civic Si 93 model sedan if that helps clarify anything. also, as you can tell i'm looking to buy a POD filter and putting it into the airbox (wanna keep it legal).

also, would it be better to just get the POD and leave it at that or go through with the CAI. I'm not really looking for any power gains (anything would be a bonus) but rather for the sound and effficiency

Hey AC,

I believe your Si comes with stock panel filter in the airbox, so your best bet in achieving your goals would be to buy an aftermarket panel filter (Trust, Spoon, K&N, Finer Filter, "Jamex" ;)) and drop it in. In relation to the "CAI" piping from the front bumper, most ppl simply find the right diameter piping and "wedge" it into the bottom hole of the airbox, where the resonator piping has been removed. I suppose you could make it more airtight with some silicone or sealant.
Hope that helps.
Really, you should do a quick search on this on OH, and a few other Honda sites, as your question above has been asked (by myself and others) and answered a thousand times over. Have a good read of other threads then feel free to ask any other questions you might have!

jon :)

For people who have PODs in their engine bay, do you have a bracket supporting the pod? My pod just lies there and bangs against the metal, sooner or later, my Airflow metre is going to crack from the collisions.
