hello!
Just got my car back from 1000km service, it seems they have upped the idle rpm abit and that smoothes out alittle during take off. but still jumpy for 1 st and 2nd gear, nevertherless I guess thats how it is and just have to learn to clutch extra smoothly
ok onto new things. was thinking of putting 2x 12" subs. did some research and I guess u need to feed the amp from the read speakers through a LOC, now are there better/cheaper option? if not where do I buy this LOC thing? would the volume control be proportionate to the rest of the system?

audio experst, where are you?
what do u mean by LOC?
2 sub is not always better than 1. audiophiles always prefer 1 better sub than 2 shittier subs.

LOC stands for Line Output Converter, it converts high level signal (eg.. to speakers) to low level outputs that is usable by amps. from my understanding the euro does not a have a line level output (rca) so what they gotta do is use the signal from the rear speakers to feed the amp.
reason I might go for 2 is that 2x 12" gonna be cheaper than 1x 15"
anyone else?

Sorry mate, dont quite get what you were asking? Do you have an amplifier to power your subs?
Do you have a factory head unit? If so, if it has a RCA output u will be able to run an amplifier via
the factory head unit.

do you have a buget for amp and subs? what if any aftermarket audio components do you have already? what are you hoping to achieve (sound quality, spl, super bass-heavy)?
By the way 1 good sub should (read will) sound better than 2 average subs.

Im after options to connect the stock headunit which doesnt have rca to the sub amp.

LOC is your best option to keep the oem h/u, there are some pretty decent ones available. Are you planning on just installing sub amp and subs, or are you going to upgrade the front speakers and amp them too? 2 x 12" subs with pretty much any amount of power will make your otherwise stock system very bass heavy.

just the sub, I think the fronts are ok for now.
is volume control going to be do able through the stock controls?
so where can I get some LOC?

The jl e4300 has high-level inputs in it already. Im sure other jl modles will have it too.
