um,,, its hard to do comparison pic by pic unless the two kits are produced by the same company. here is the rough estimation:

6000k: will be close to factory 4300k they are equipped on euro lux and they have white light output.

8000k: will be more blueish colour on the output, BUT, will loss a bit of light when compare to the 6000k.

so it is your choice to see that if you are willing to give up some lights for the blueish colour :D
as you said it will go on to the euro, coz euro has the projector headlight, i'd suggest you go for the 6000k coz the reflection of the projector isa already giving you some blue from certain angles

6000K will lean towards blue already as 4000K is defined as the whitest. With 8000K going blue, cops might have an attraction towards your car. Is your car the standard or luxury model, if it's the standard model, it will be illegal as it doesn't have the washers and you won't want to risk a cop stopping you for your bluish lights and finding out that it hasn't got the headlight washers....

I'd go 6000K on the safe side...

Go 7000k right in the middle. I have 7000k, it's very white with a bluish tinge...

But if I was you I'd go 6000k. 8000k is too blue for my liking bordering on rice..

I still think 4300K would be the best cos it looks like factory HID's and less of a ricy feel. 6000K would be the max I would go as anything higher would just be too blue and actually reduce the amount of light (in lumens) outputted.

"man Euro lights are nice, but they blind da hell outta every1.. oncoming and up ur ass"

I second that opinion!!!! Since fitting the 8000k HIDS i get high beamed at least once every night out. People think i have high beams on. Popular amongst enthusiats. Even quite a fashion statement (if you can call it that) , but to the daily driver i reckon i have been cursed a billion times. Each to their own i think. I KNOW I'D RATHER BE SEEN, than getting run into.

cheersss :D

i have 8000k kit on my family's MDX and it appears to be okay with polices:D
well the first thing u need to do after installed the kit is to leveling ur headlight to the right height. so u have a nice light output without blinging on coming trafiic"D

IT is ok with the police as long as it comes standard with the car which I believe that the MDX has... Jamchen, was the HID standard on the MDX?

THANKS!

sorry to dissapoint u but neither 03 or 05 MDX equipped with HID :D :D (the updated 05 spec even has projector!)
and the factory one looked dead weak! so decided to put HID too see what's the difference! and i'd say, IT IS MUCH BRIGHTER

6000K is the best. Go for that one.

But to me $450 is bit too much just for that man.

I bought the eagle eye 8000K HID replacement bulb from US (http://www.plasmagarage.com) to replace the original 4300K bulb for $220 including shipping cost (only the bulb not HID kits). Below is the comparison between the 4300K vs 8000K.

On the pic they look like just the globes? Am i right in saying that?

I thought you needed a whole converstion kit.

Does the Euro take H1 or H3 globes?

hav tried both 6000k and 8000k

comparing the 2 , i find tat 6000k is nice and white, the beam is much more sharper and not as blur as the 8000k wth bluey beam. 6000k is brighter in tat sense. hav change from 6000k to 8000k, find it abit harder to see at nite.

as for the appearance, depends wat u like, the 8000k looks blue and 6000k looks white.

he has lux version(am i right?) but all he did was taking out the OEM D2S 4300k HID bulbs to 8000K HID bulbs... coz basically its the bulbs do the trick of k ratings...

Nice blue!

I didn't change the bulb for the fog lights. It's still OEM. I'm thinking to change the front bumper with luckystar bodykit and i will lose the fog lights anyway.

Mine is as blue as the photo. If you stand less than 3 meters in front of your car than it'll look less blue than the photo. What brand of your HID replacement bulb? Mine is eagle eye D2S HID replacement bulb.

It's true that it's a little bit blur and not as bright as 6000K but it's not a problem with me and i like blue beam cause the it match with the color of my car :) .

Yup, you're right. The good thing is you don't have to adjust the direction of the bulb compare to HID conversion kit.

If you want White light with a bit of blue color, get the 6000k/6500k/7000k depending on brand.
If you want Blue light, then get 8000k.
It is really up to individual what color you want. Both are nice
Personally, I like the whiteher light.
