teg vs lude

so my mate just bought a 92-97 prelude S. he keeps claiming that my car would take him, and that ill munch him etc... ive got an 89 teg, and im a bit worried of having my ass handed 2 me if i do run him. all hes done 2 the lude is a pod, while ive just modified my filter by removing the bottom end of the box, and sounds like i may have a mild exhaust system. my question is, who is more likely to win? hes a real cocky f**k, so i dun wanna lose 2 him, and never hear the end of it.

LoL nah mine is an LS. on most performance stats, the teg has higher figures except for torque, where the S has a 30Nm advantage, thats kinda got me worried.

Having said that, Prelude S is one hell of a rubbish and would probably even lose to Barina. lol

Hmm.. Gen4, i dunno, i got a 90 teg and lets be serious here its not all that powerful like some ppl make it out to be.

...and also dont worry bout all the figurers on the engine ect. if u wanna know if u will win take it to the streets coz no engine these days are standard anyways they have all been 'touched up' in some way, and cars vary heaps ---no 2 cars are ever exactly the same in performance.

I actually got a vedio of us ripping it down the hwy from a set of lights
everycar is different mine was very old and very thrashed but it loved it untill not long ago =(

considering is a 16 year old car.. id say its doing quite well

urs mite win against most v6s ect. but as for the B18A it lacks that punch and generally can keep up but cant pull thru.

GSi is heavier then the LS and the LS is already too heavy
but its pretty quick once u get it goin.. the hardest part id say is gettin it off the line
a 3K launch = about 9sec 0-100
a 6k launch = about an 8 sec 0-100

estimate 15.5 down the qtr

this engine package came by quite cheap
i would not convert a LS with b16 if i had a perfectly good b18
but yes the vtec is fun to play with

My point is to reassure the dude racing the Prelude S that his chances of winning are high. No need to get all steamed up defending your much loved ludes buddy. I was just stating what happened with me. Nowadays, i wouldnt race anyone since i've realised that traffic light sprints mean very little.
