As a GSi owner, really couldn't say. The B18A is pretty similar to the B18B, so it's down to the driver. Best to do the normal and take a sample selection of stock LS'/GSi's and head on down to WSID. :)

Yeah!!!.. make sure ur alone in ur car, sunroof closed, heater/ac off and a half tank of juice and u will win (against the VN Anyways), and dont pull back, push and keep pushing coz the little LS will asks for more, hang in there coz u will pass him after the 110km limit --- of course track only ey ;)

yeh LS will chop a commodore, They are said to beat anything up to a 2000 S commodore, but i beleive that may be the jap spec b16a version which has a little bit more punch with the vtec rather than the b18a aussie spec

I have a Stock GSi just with a xhaust and have smashed all 3 LS's that i have ran!
I dont get how any of yas could think a LS would beat a gsi both stock?
Just saying it from ma previous xperiences!

well from owning an ls, from my experience with it is that, don't under estimate it....fair enough it has an older engine, but it does perform pretty well. I have beaten plenty of V6s and 4 cylinder non turbo cars...

I havent raced a GSI before but i feel that it has more grunt than my current Integra VTIR.....

I know i will get flamed for this, but that's the truth. I have owned both cars and i had more fun with my LS than my VTIR. VTiR obviously has more potential because of its newer technology but stock for stock, LS felt better when gunning it.
