i have been reading on jdmcivic.com a list of specs on some members cars and it appears that they ad in that they have jdm headlights and they arent refering to an HID setup its oem.
whats the difference between AUDM and JDM eg headlights and why would they be worth swapping????

as chi sed cept they internally(eg6 ones) have 1 less 'reflector thing.
like an eg5 light has the reflecetor in front of the bulb where as the eg6s dont eg6s also take a pain in th e ass bulb to find, h4h :thumbdwn: ask da owners bout this.
i have eg6 ones and i love em, lighter and brighter and shit :)

ok well that would explain why mine are glass and my mates are plastic.. ok
without that reflector over the bulb.. doesnt it make the lights seem more like a high beam cos a friend of mine has an da9 teg and was in a front end smash and they forgot to put the reflector over the bulb when they put the light assembly back together.. he gets flashed by people all the time cos they think his hi beams are on... i hate driving in front of him at night.!
Thats right.
AUDM is H4 and JDM is H4H.
Took me ages to find da bulbs, *sigh*
yeah eg6 lights (with reflector) are brighter man, look way better, now that i have eg6's, i cant notice the diff. just lookin at em in the day

AUDM-Made from glass
has silver reflector inside less brighter compared to the JDM headlight.
JDM-Made from plastic
light bulb is H4 (they have it everywhere
does not have reflector much brighter the light is more centre focused compared the the AUDM healight.
light bulb is H4H (rare light bulbs need to specially order them in)

prolly cheaper to get aftermarket blue ones or something

can't get them in aftermarket blue... not in Australia anyway none of the large manufacturers/distributors carry stock (ie Philips, Narva etc).
I got a couple of sets form yellow hat in Japan, but even then the sales assistant looked at me kinda funny...

IMO the plastic lights are crap... I had one in my car and it had faded yellow, I guess it must have been a few years old. I think I was lucky to find a new honda twin head light to replace it...
