o2 sensor question

my o2 sensor is foul

i was wondering if u can "clean" the sensor somehow or should i just get new one...

bit worried bought 2nd hand being foul as well..

brand new costs something like $170!

$170 for a brand new one?? Is that a genuine Honda one? Coz I recently had to get a new o2 sensor for the Civic and Honda Spare Parts quoted a new one at $600!!!!! I told them to get lost, and they sourced me a 2nd hand one with a warranty for $50. It's been working fine ever since.

you can get non gen NGK ones for like $70 or so, but you have to put a Honda connector on the end of em from your old sensor.

you can try cleaning your sensor in vinger, but it has a very low susscess rate
