airbag question

i just brought a 2000 dc2r jdm and i vic roads givin me shit ova my airbags because car needs to be under australin standards....in other words they are not alowing the cr to be on road untill the problem is solved...
so i just have a question if anyone knows if thers a timer in the system because the way the check the airbags is they turn the egnition on/off five times and if the srs light turns on and after 5 sec turns off its all good if not then its got a foult.... so if anyone can check on their car to see wat happens id be great... cheers

it does that normally, no need to turn on and off 5 times.... Does JDM have an airbag?

what ever you dont stuff around with the airbags!! they are potentialy the most unsafe part of the car, and can kill. (ironic isnt it??) if the light stays on, the most I would do is check the yellow (srs wiring under dash) loom is all securely plugged. Also it wouldnt hurt to do an ecu diagnostics check....might give you a specific code and answer. Good luck;)

i had it all checkd and ppl that check em said that they are workin fine.... but thing is dat when vicroads checks the airbags they do that 5 time turn on/off bull shit.... so yeh.. i also had the car checked by an electrician and he said that its all good... so i dunno..n if that doesnt pass i wont be able to register the car ever again.....and yeh 2000 jdms neec to have an aibags coz f an australian standard bullshit or wat eva the fuk it is....and other thing that they didnt like was when u turn theegnition on and the light turns on and off...they swich the car off and they try t turn the car on again and lights not turning all at all.... so i suppose thats a problem... :confused:
