this 2 week break has built up my hunger to watch F1, Im so thankful! The month break will do me wonders I think, so many too close sort of made me lose interest for a while there:thumbdwn: Should be a good race

My main thing is can Williams get any worse?
We will see Kimi, Juan and Alonso in top 3 for sure, but Michael could show us what Ferrari can do.

Its on at 23:00 on channel 10 I think

Have a look at the Williams in practice, it's incredible. First practice Heidfeld was a couple of hundredths quicker, then in the second one Webber was a couple hundredths quicker. They have to be the closest teammates in the championship.

Raikkonen looks quick again surprise surprise. Button's got some good pace too. It's finally coming good for him!

True that, and as for calling in sick, I usually take an RDO on races that I really want to watch ;)

plus you always have Gretel the 8!tch taking BB 30min over, then they talk for another 20min, its frustrating.
Should be an interesting race, Im mighty keen to see one now, gotta keep up to date with qualifying and pratice sessions however

Just saw some F1 on RPM.

Toyota said no engine for Williams next year, so maybe a honda?

Webber's car looked a lot more stable then usual, but with some much grip (aero/downforce) they have no top speed.

Juan admitted his mistake for the awesome slide then into the tyre wall, to me I think he braked halfway through the corner ***tisk, tisk, tisk***
Even Kimi had an awesome slide.

I think Kimi will out run Alonso tonight, but BAR are out from there slum I think.

gap between McLaren/Renault to BAR is bigger than the gap between BAR and the following teams...

will be close for 3rd to 8th place...

Jase, was thinking about the williams engine situation the other day, and in light of Jenson button option, this is what I reckon, they should and most likely will do...

Opt to pay for BMW engines (since they would have designed their 2006 car with a bmw 2006 engine in mind anyways), yes it does cost them something, but after this first year of engines, they can excercise their option over Jenson button, run with a bought bmw engine, and then take the time to look for a supplier for 2007.

Thoughts?

Good point Pornstar.

I think Williams have left it to late now.
Jenson will go I think, and he'll regret it.

i dun think Jenson will go willingly... if he does go it'll be coz Williams have some binding contract..
i mean Jenson aint stupid.. he can see williams arent doing too well..

lol i think he is stupid. I dont like all his comments/qoutes after friday practice, qualifying and during Post-qualifying press conference.
for example:

"We have made progress since Silverstone but not quite enough to challenge the front runners yet, I don't think"

"Our aim for the race is to be as close as, or hopefully closer than we were in Silverstone to Renault and McLaren."

"we’ve made progress but it’s not enough to challenge them, I don’t think."

etcetc

It looks like that he is continously saying that his team is shit and wont stand a chance against them. in smooth way.

nEUROtic
24-07-2005, 10:07 PM
Its hardly smooth. I reckon he is so overated eh. I mean he's a good driver and all but man he gets some hype. F1 racing magazine gives him a constant blowjob.

Man i wish big brother would **** off. Hurry up haha

man kimi's season has gone from bad to shocking to dismal...

i'm kinda dissapointed that jenson didnt get up to P2... good race for him thou

and yeah last i read jenson is looking at staying with BAR long term...
he wants wins like any driver and honda is a team that will win (they have in the past they will in the future)

*edit ... forgot to mention sato... this guy just cant start races lol... once its started he's realiable but geezus...

i think BAR would keep him... if not another japanese driver, to keep honda happy...

rumor was barichello was gonna replace jenson or sato...

25-07-2005, 08:40 AM
ahaha just quickly looking at tips.. i think everyone had shockers...

n i've found a loop hole... ppl just put Schumacher without giving the first name initial... lololz

anywayz .. what a race.. dissapointed Jenson couldnt get 2nd... michael held him up -_-
n poor kimi again.. 5th race he hasnt finished (n potentiallly 5 races he coulda won)... oh well shit happens eh.. i guess the benz engine just isnt cutting it when it comes to realiability (spelling?)..
n as for sato what can i say........... he was loaded pretty heavy with fuel as well...............:(

25-07-2005, 09:21 AM
God I hate martin brundle! when button is stuck behind schuey he says 'it'll be hard to pass michael' 'he's not the easiest man to pass' etc. Then Jensen pulls a pretty slick move on him and gets past (love the Honda vs. Ferrari drag race outta the corner exit:D) Then he says 'Jensen really should have pulled that a few laps ago..." Farking has been.

As for Jensen comments on team performance, he is just being realistic, not having a go at the team. He made a point of thanking the team at the post race conference.

Also cant get over how well the McLarens can come from the back row to podium finishes so easily! both and Kimi and JPM have done it a few times this season.... amazing!

Man you just wanna cry if your a kimi supporter. The dude tries so hard and drives the wheels off the car, but something always happens to **** him up. It would be nice to see him goto a meeting, not blow an engine in qualifying race or practice. Then start from the front row, and then win. Just for some ****ing dignity. Its not even like he should expect to suck. He has a fast car, he is ****ing insanely fast this season, and there is always SOMETHING that stops him winning.

Its not that I think alonso is a shit driver, but man he gets handed shit on a silver platter. He carries on like he deserves it too. Mofo.

How good was the start of that race though! that was a mad frantic dash through the first corner!

true true lolz..
poor kimi man ahahha.. what has he done wrong to deserve this bad karma...
n to top it off he starting first at the 'dust bowl' next week lolz...

ahahah yeah n true about alonso as well.. most of the races r getting handed to him.. due to bad luck with his rivals..
n i just noticed yesterday how fkn huge his neck is lolz (i know its caused by the excessive latral G's.. but still)... its lik wider than his head...

First off, The tipping competition has been updated and if Kimi stayed and finished the race, a lot of points would of been handed out.

Also regarding this

n i've found a loop hole... ppl just put Schumacher without giving the first name initial... lololz
I thought about this at the start of the competition and if you put Schumacher I take it as Michael Schumacher, unless there is an R in there somewhere its Michael ;)

Now for that race.
WOW, First few laps Montoya was on fire, others thought it was NASCAR.
Poor Kimi, but as Juan said in press conference "If I didn't make the mistake, I would of won"

But Alonso has offically won the WLDC (Worlds Luckiest Drivers Championship) taken from Michael Schumacher in 2004.

I like Alonso, even though I personally think he has less emotion then Kimi when speaking but I think if others had a reliable car or didn't have to come from behind he wouldn't be 36 points ahead, but thats F1.

What about the soft compound Bridgestone tyres?
I think they lasted about 20 laps
Rubens had a shocker but Massa, what a drive!
He might be the next man to support Michael.

Do you think with all this testing Ferrari are doing its for the V8 engine and 2006 regualtions?
I mean, they aren't moving that much forward in race pace and Bridgestone is letting them down, but Michael did have a much better performance car last night.

I love how James and Allen praised Jenson the whole way through the race, I thought MY GOD, SHUT UP!

DC, Massa and Juan to me had the best drives.
Jacques was shocking and Webber had the worst luck oh as did Kimi.
Was Sato even in the race? I didn't notice :D

lol he hit both webber and fisichella.

If fisichella did not get hit, he would have been on the podium for 3rd position.

He would have to pass Jenson, Michael, Fisichella etc
Oh what a good laugh, Sato and podium in same sentence! :p

Nahh, its his head thats massive. Wait till u see him standing up or walking around. Its like at least 1/6 of his height. Thats why his neck is so big. He has to support so much weight

I meant, if fisichella didnt get hit by sato, Fisichella would have been on the podium instead of button.

because Fisichella lost bit of balance as a result of that hit.

is my writting bad?, or you read it wrongly..
but i think u read it wrongly http://members.westnet.com.au/synapse/images/ui.jpg

Webber is a huge let down, constantly....

jackosimm
26-07-2005, 02:29 PM
I believe Webber has been let down more so than he is a let down. I will admit he has made some mistakes and as a result let himself down, but in the end he's just had plane bad luck

Vivski
27-07-2005, 01:12 AM
It is disappointing the Webber has not been competetive, but I don't think he has been a disappointment in his personal performances. He's made no more mistakes than anyone else and the entire team is struggling.

Kimi, Kimi, Kimi!! WTF? His luck never ceases to amaze me. I just can't believe it.

Congrats to Alonso, he drove well and stayed out of trouble. Don't worry, he'll get this championship and next year it will all fall apart for him, you just watch.

I rate Jenson very highly. He's obviously giving Sato an arse-whooping. Sato's a pretty talented driver, but Jenson is leaving him behind at every race, especially qualifying!

Speaking of qualifying, what are the odds of Kimi stuffing it on the front row from being first car out on the track? Probably better than the odds of him blowing an engine in practice.

Oh and Jase, good call on the luckiest driver since Michael in 2004. Man the Sun shone out his arse that season. He didn't get punished for any of his mistakes.

LUD02C
29-07-2005, 04:57 PM
Vivski, I honestly think Alonso is luckier then Michael this year.
Michael has had the rules changed because of him and Ferrari, Alonso has no reliable competitors, Fisichellas car never works while Alonso's never fails.

Oh and I think Mark has been let down by his car.
