Hey guys,

As some of you know I just got myself a 1994 DC2 VTi-R.
The first thing I thought when I took the photo in my avitar was "It looks to high at the sides".

So anyway, now I'm looking for side skirts.
Anyone got any suggestions on where I can find a website / shop where I can look about for skirts/front bars etc?

I rather like this:

Was wondering if anyone knew what kinda skirts those where?

I'm considering upgrading the front bar aswell. I rather like the standard Type R front bar (as in the image above). Does anyone know if the VTi-R headlights will fit behind the DC2R front bar? Or, as above, where to find front bars/lips etc?

Cheers.

you can get the side skirts from honda $300 somthing for both... but that was ages ago when they had this deal going.

yes you will have to change your headlights because your model is pre 97 which is when the tegs got a facelift

the side skirts and rear pods complete form honda color coded is 1300. its not cheap

the facelifted front bar wont fit ur pre facelift model. u will need to change headlights and corner lights.

Hrm. Was kinda hoping for a cheaper alternative. What about after market front bars, sideskirts and rear pods?

As part of my warranty, I don't think I can change the headlights (messing with the electrics).

I wouldn't mind just a lip for the front or something. I just need something to bring the front down and out a bit. It looks to high, and slopes back to far.

Unfortunatly I'm limited to rice modifications for the time being. Any performance modification will void my warranty unless I get them to do it with brand new Mugen parts... and I don't have that much money I'm afraid. :)

i'm guessing u just bought it from a car yard?

I bought it from a Honda dealer. The guy said as long as their workshop did the work, and I used parts certified by Honda or something. I assume Mugen parts are certified by Honda as working with a DC2.

As it stands, I don't wanna void my warrenty just yet. And it has enough performance for me anyway, at this point in time.

Hey, is there a JDM Type R front lip for the pre-facelift DC2? If so, what's it look like and will it fit a VTi-R?

JDM DC2s have a whole different front bar to AUDM DC2s..

Doh. Does anyone make a front lip for the pre-facelift VTi-R then? I don't mind the front bar, it just needs a lip on it.

yeh, i don't like the grey lip thing either.. or the grey side-skirt things either.. i was thinking about getting them resprayed the same color as the rest of my car (Championship White)...
What u think?.. or should i just get a new lip all together?

Personaly, I want a new lip and skirts. The stock ones tuck in 2 much for my liking. I want something that comes straight down in front.

yes, I agree the Mugen front lip is very nice. Although it does sit a bit low on the corners. ( I should know, I used to have it on my car). Anyway, you can get straight side skirts, like in my avatar from bodyform at lansvale in sydney.

I'm in Melbourne. Anywhere I can get stuff in Melbourne? lol.

I'd rather not get things shipped. To much hassle.

if you wanna get ideas on kits, go to www.carmate.com they have a pretty big range, its good to decide what u wanna get and what the kits look like on the car. I know they are in sydney and all, but you can get these kits elsewhere. just so u know what style you wanna get. Im planning to get the Mugen style kit myself when i get some cash together.
