vafc settings until dyno

Just installed a vafc. I can't get to a dyno until Wednesday. If I just do a factory reset and set the settings in the other menu like: cylinders, throttle type etc... and leave the rest default will it be the same as not having it installed? Or would the safest thing be to just disconnect the power? Only reason I don't just unplug it is I didn't get the other half of the wiring loom with it so had to make up another loom and solder it all together. Also, I didn't really think about this until I had put the ecu back behind the guard etc...

ps. what is this sensor number setting do in the etc menu?
