I'm currently in Hong Kong atm for a holiday break, I'm normally in the UK.

Now back at home I have a nice Black Honda Jazz 1.2, technically it isn't mine, it's more my mums but still non the less I drive it more than her.

Anyway I was thinking of modding it a bit since the Jazz is very popular in Hong Kong, so I've been fishing about for some stuff.

I've come across a Honda Jazz spoiler for $460, the Audio console for around $1450 and some tail lights for around $980.

I was just wondering how hard is it to fit these in? I've done some reading and the audio console looks the most complicated.

Is it easy to replace the tail lights and how would the spoiler be fitted on? via adhesive or bolting it down?

I'm kinda speculating about the audio console since it's the priciest out of the lot, and I might reconsider by just replacing the speakers rather than go through the hassle of doing the entire console.

P.S. I'm a newcomer to modding cars and I'm 17 :o

The lights I've seen are these ones

Pardon? :o

For the audio,

what would be the better option? just changing the speakers to better quality or change the audio headunit ?

spoiler is bolt-on on the top and not sure if there is any self adhesive at the bottom.. regardless.. not very hard to install the spoiler.

Tailight.. You need to take off the rear bumper to gain access to the screws at the bottom of the tailight... Not very hard...

Head Unit.. Not sure about Euro Model.. and what year is your Jazz. The pre 2005 model, you will need to get a double DIN to change your head unit. Some of the guys here have already done it.. If post 2005 model.. hmm. still looking for answers myself. :D

i jst got back from hk and purchased myself a set of those lights,, they look heaps nice, especially on a black jazz,, it was $900(150AUD).. to take out the lights are really simple (you dont have to go through the trouble of taking out the rear bumper).
step 1. from inside the car, take out the panel and unscrew 3 bolts (size 8 screws)
step 2. jack the car up(rear), slide urself under the car and you'll see a screw (can be easily taken out with a phillips screw-driver)
step 3. take out the bulb by twisting it clock-wise or anti-clock.
step 4. yank the mother ****er out,, it might be abit tough (held on with 2 clips)
and belissimo, muchachos,, comprende,, u now have urself some hectic mofo lights,, omg uleh..

 $1450????

Yeah a bit expensive.

Was hoping to see if any of you guys were able to hook me up with an audio console for cheaper?

Btw my Jazz is bought recently, April-ish I think.

It's the new model with the new headlights.

It was from one of the audio shops on a corner at Wong Kok...you know the famous car street.

Er...basically, from bor hai gu, you go down the street and it's located on the corner.

Hmm, think I'll PM him right now.

Btw, do you have a rough idea of how much the spoiler would weigh? I think it's the standard spoiler you would get from when you buy from Honda.

Just that I need to see if I'd be able to take it back to the UK with me.

I just checked Honda's website and it's like 245 quid (o.O).

Guess I could buy this at $450(~33 pounds) and then find a garage that will colour code spray it for me.

how much in hk? i think they all painted

kentris

I saw it in the shop for $450 with just the primer on....I think that's the price for it since I'm sure it would be more expensive with it painted.

They better have some in stock or else I'm gonna have to order...and it might not come before I go back =\

Edit**

On the Honda Jazz UK website, on the accesories part, on the interior styling, I seen one of the options

Audio Face Panel
£95 - fitted
For manual a/c model - required to install Satellite Navigation Tuner

Would that mean the whole thing would be changed? (o.O)

Does it matter if it is/isn't? I seen the fittings for it, and it looks like bolts to me.

yap

So from what you're saying.....I could change the headunit if I get this done? Or do I need to buy that whole double din console to change my headunit from the stock?

Not sure, saw it on the website.

I assume that option for 95 pounds is for the sat nav. So if that's the case, then I could easily just buy one of those adapters and fit in an aftermarket head unit?

still dun understand what is it
Audio Face Panel £95 - fitted
£95 = HKS$1285

It's probably what I'm looking for.

That panel that allows me to use an aftermarket head unit instead of using the stock CD player that comes with it.

This spoiler doesn't look good.. try the pre 2005 model type spoiler (click the below link on my signature for pictures).. or Mugen spoiler.

Hmm, I don't want anything too big and plus $450HK is quite a nice offer to pass up.
