Might wanna clarify exactly what you mean; Straight through refers to the muffler which can be fitted on it's own, to cat back system or full system. Straight through makes up the majority of aftermarket mufflers (usually loud/er) whereas conventional mufflers like stock are quiet, however Spoon (Rear Silencer) and Mugen (Twin Loop) offer attractive street mufflers which should sound nice, not too loud.

possibly a previous write off and they just joined a gli and cxi together hehehee:p .

Just make sure you do your research for this one, bigger definitly isn't always better, plus what your driving habits and so forth are.

Welcome to OZHonda. Most people suggest to get a 2 1/4 piping. But have a search around using the search button up top, and see peoples opinions on the matter.

In regards to the cat back or straight through, what do you mean by this? Cat back runs from the cat converter which is attatched to the header, all the way down to the muffler. This is the best option as it allows the exhaust to flow better, and will not require a upgrade later (if you do more engine mods)

I guess straight through is confusing... I thought it meant without a cat converter, but it could reffer to muffler too, huh? BTW I think Cats are required by law in most states due to emissions?

Oh and G'day... I'm in the same boat as you, I am trying to find out as much as I can about exhaust so I can make the right descision

I think you mean "High Flow" cat. You're not supposed to be able to see straight through a cat, if you can, it would be illegal wherever you go. It in simple terms makes otherwise deadly exhaust gasses well........less deadly.
