Hi guys,

I have some stickers I wanna apply to my car - are there any special tips or tricks? I have a sticker on the rear window which I just whacked on, no problems (but these ones are to go on the body). If anyone could tell me the best way to apply them, that'd be great. Thanks! :)

clean the surface of the car first very well. get any excess polish/dirt/grime off the paint and place them over the car. smooth over with the edge of a credit card to get out any air bubbles and slowly peal backing layer off.

their longevity will be largely affected by how clean the surface is.

thanks.
I've heard that the car should be wet/soaped up before applying the sticker - is this neccessary? I would have thought it would be much harder to apply a sticker to a wet surface

the advantage of having it soaped up is that you can move the sticker around on the surface until you get it in the correct place. once the soap/water dries though... it wont move.

They are the equivalent of the "L" plates here in Australia. This stickers are put if you are a learner driver in japan.

I think wet surface actually gets rid of all the air bubbles..... :) they always wet the glass when they tint the windows...

and Danny, to answer your question - the stickers (well, decals really - I guess they're the same thing, right?) are about 15" wide by about 5" high.

thats pretty big, yes u definitely need water... mix the water with soap (dish washing liquid)....dip the sticker in the water... before u stick on, normally i wax the panel first. Waxing the panel allows the sticker to be removed easier when needed in the future. soap water is this so that when u stick the sticker :
1. u can adjust the sticker easily when its too low or high or not level.
2. when there is bubble, u can press out the bubble using ur finger or a small ruler wrapped with cloth. if sticker surface is not smooth, wet it with more water
3. do it quick (the adjustment necessary and getting rid of the bubble), before the water dries
4. when done, leave the sticker to dry, wont take long.
