Im in the market for one of these.

Been researching for the longest of times now, got the cash and now just waiting for the right car to come along at the right price....

I know about both these cars as individuals.... but not so much when they come head to head (i.e on the "track" , bone stock) :P Feel free to dish out any experiences and/or further knowledge

Go test drive them, everyone is going to have a different opinion, look at some stats and compare, ultimately they are two different cars.

Ludes can be heavy as they are a more luxurious car (leather, climate control, etc). The engines also have less part availability but there a cool car.

Tegs are lighter and the engines have massive possibilities. These are also fast, handle well.

But once again its up to you to choose the one you like better, just my $.02

If I where you I'd get an earlier Type R Integra. Faster, with an LSD in the front.

That's just me.

I'd love a type R. but hard to find early model wif low kms at a good price.
i want the car to have tween 60k - 90k kms on the clock but the most i wana spend is like 18 :s
coz then i gota worry about insurance plus stamp duty etc

I would go the Integra. I was deciding between a Lude and a Teg before i bourght my Teg. I test drove both and found that they were about the same in power but the teg handled a lot better. and looked alot better inside and out.

Can you even find a 5th gen lude for around $18K? I always thought they were still up there in the low 20's

yer the teg was my first pick but now a family friend working at robert lane honda (big dealer in melbourne) reckons he could snatch me a lude at a "good" price ..

its just so hard to find a 98+ Dc2 vtir wif low k'z....
trust me i check every car site available everyday including Auctions etc.

If anyone knows anyone selling wat Im after in melb PM me.

This is so true... i was looking at both cars before i got my 1998 Integra VTi-R. The VTi-R lude has abit more power, but handling and general driving i thought the integra was heaps more fun. Also the lude has less space than the integra especially at the back.

Overall, i think buying the integra was the right thing. Good luck with your car search.

Cheers,

Rik

i rekon the integra is a much nicer car,, definately test drive both before you decide though. It also depends on wat kinda driving u like to do? do you drive for long periods and cruizing? or do u like speeding round from place to place?
