I'm planning on purchasing the mugen exhaust and headers sometime soon , and all I want to know is whether or not there is another system on the market that can do the same job or better at a cheaper price? So far the best I've seen are $1980 for mugen exhaust and $1700 for mugen headers..... which is basically 4k for just a freakin exhaust system :shock: ......

No not name brand just anything that can do the same or better that isnt so expensive, but I would prefer something that is 'off the shelf'

Instead of the mugen header consider Toda. And you really don't need to fork out $2k for the mugen exhaust, there are a lot of other options which are cheaper and better.

and there honestly really isn't any point in getting a genuin Mugen exhaust...

Mugen are expensive because of the quality no doubt but also you pay for the name

Get titanium if you can afford it - it's lighter and looks cool when it bronzes from the heat.. :D :D

i believe the carbon fibre is only useful if youre a hardcore drag/track racer and really need to have the lowest weight possible.... there a a few company race cars in japan which have fitted the carbon fibre exhaust system and these are significantly lighter than stock/metal systems.
