Seatbelts dont retract??

I guess this applies to most cars, does anyone have any idea how to get the belt to retract back, mine when pulled out doesnt or slowly retracts back in. So anyone thats in the same situation and fixed it, please share your method.

previous accidents ruin the internal clutch mechanism - givign the symptoms you describe. Just get some new reels from a wrecker

i have no accident, seem like its the same for the passenger side n the driver side

I had that prblem in my LS i took the belts out and they where coverd in dust cleaned them out opend them up and sprayed WD40 inside them works fine ever since they used to make horrible grinding noises as well they went away just be carfull there are springs and mecanisums inside you lose them and forget about your belt
even just try clean and spray without totally removing the covers
