Noise on ignition turn. ??

hey fellas i get this really wierd sound on the ignition crank.
as soon as i turn the key. you know how the hondas make that electronic sound like " do do do " ... heheh something like that anyway then it starts running.

well after the "do do do" it makes a wierd engine noise like metal grinding. and sometimes it just makes that grinding sound throughout the crank and the car doesnt want to start until i turn ignition key off and start again.
its starting to happen more often now.

is this ignition based problem or something worse?

does your oil light on dash stay on while making noise?

oil light? no it does not.
i have checked my oil levels and its still as i last had it since service.

im thinkin it could be dodgy starter motor ? anyone else have any clues ?

Does it do it every start? Dude just take it to an auto electrician - if you get it fully recon it's about $240 professionally....just got it done that's all but they will know straight away what it is. Good luck, hope it's not too expensive

if it is making a tick tick tick sound, your starter motor is about to die.
just get the starter motor recondition
