All are the model DC5. Previous Integra DC2.
RSX = Integra.
RSX Type S 01-04 = Aussie Type R
RSX Type S 05 - = Aussie Type S
None match Japanese 2001 - 2005 Integra Type R for performance but they still similar and all DC5's.

To be correct, RSX wasn't available untill 2002. Also the 02 - 04 RSX type s does not equal the aussie type r

:rolleyes: Just trying to help the guy out!
He doesnt need to know the details like that... you are just confusing him! I listed 01 because that was the AUSSIE model year.
Ok, how is this - the 02-04 RSX Type S is the equivalent North American market model to the AUDM 01 - 04 Type R, but not directly equivalent in equipment level and specification, the RSX lacking Recaros, LSD and Type R bodykit amongst other things???
Saying it doesnt equal then not qualifying is USELESS to the original poster.
for more information lead your friend to www.clubrsx.com

it is virtually the same car. Acura is said to have slightly more luxury accessories available within the car.

Hi there! My friend is planning to buy a second hand acura but we're both confused with the models like the rsx and the rsx type S. Is there any difference in terms of acura parts (http://www.car-stuff.com/acuraparts.htm) or which model has better performance? I know the thread is quite old but I'll appreciate any opinions about it.

This is an Australian forum.
We never got any "Acura RSX" models in Australia.
Would be best to look at a US forum (ClubRSX for example) to get the best info, as everyone from this forum would just be doing the same thing.
