wondering if anyone has one on their b16a's

i am considering to get them
since the headers were originally meant for the b18
would there be any problems/differences in installing them on a b16

(i know they are both b series engine, but just in case there are any small thigns i should know about)

thank you

no problems with fittting em.

only problem is the ground clearance.....they hang afair bit lower!

yeh what he said... as the b18 is a long block it will hang around 15 to 20 mm lower...

i have been told they are the best bang for buck 4 into 1 header (value for money).

but the B18c is only 7mm taller than teh B16

or are you saying 15-20mm lower than teh stock b16 headers? which would be true...

gelo - you will probably need a custom cat. conv. fittment...

i believe it's the 98+ model you want, as these are the stainless steel 4-1's.

Just pointing out that the AUDM cat is longer than the JDM cat, so you may have fitment issues.

yeah, the only problem will be that it will hang a little lower, but that should be ok!

Friend of mine has them on his near-stock EK4.

My JDM B16A has stock header and 2.5" cat-back, his has stock intake and 2.33" cat-back with JDM ITR 4-1 header.

Before he fitted we were nearly identical in speed, after he fitted the ITR 4-1, his top end power was much healthier than mine resulting in him pulling on me in high RPM.

so basically. the JDM B16A with "10 PS more power" in a lighter chassis (EG5) was beaten by a AUS B16A with "10 PS less power" in a heavier chassis thanks purely to the JDM ITR 4-1.

co-incidentally, when I fitted my [t]Ri 3" alloy SRi intake with K&N pod filter, I gained back that top end and we are back to being the same sped ;) however if he also fitted an intake.. sigh..

**just wait till I get my 4-1**

dont plan on lowering your car very much... as everyone's mentioned they do hang very low, well below the sump.

im the guy that vtechnique were referring with the stock ek4...

clearance issue no probs...oxy sensor no probs...

main problem is the stupid 2.5 inch collector flange that is non standard so u have to have custom flange made or cut the one in ur header to bolt it on...coz the flange is not standard size...

oh jdm spec cat is shorter so...ur stock cat wont bolt

other than that the header is great...not the prettiest but it works...

oh my car is low...quite low...but my hks cat back is more of a problem...the header it self never scrapes...
