cabin noise

i have a 98 civic coupe vti...

any idea what ek is it? meaning number behind it? eg. ek9 etc

and the noise in the cabin is pretty loud. @ about a 100km/h we frens could barely speak. i thought it's the windows not shut, but it's wind up fully...
and rattling noise within the drivers door.

any solutions or ideas for the problems?

i think its EJ8???

the cabin noise could be the sliding arm thing for the power mirrors. open up the drives door and have a look inside

noise cabin la...... also tyres play a big part in noise as well i believe. the stock ek1 tyres from factory were CRAP! then we changed to michelins and the difference was instantly noticable.

I have the same problem i think - im going to just open the door up and take a look inside... maybe throw some foam in there!

EJ was SOCH VTi

Wait a minute, now I am really confused (from the last two posts).


Can someone let me know if this is correct:
99-00 = EM1
96-98 = EJ8

Seeing as the EM1 (Civic Coupe VTIR) didn't come prior to 99-00.. it would be an EJ8..
I believe the facelifted Coupe's (non-EM1) are still known as EJ8s too..

Civic Coupe VTIR = EM1
The Rest = EJ8
