A T4 will be all lag till about 5000rpm even with the smallest possible turbohousing you will hav NO power utill u hit Vtec. and boost will rise very slowly so wile ur waiting to spool an NA would have traveled a good 7 meters

question:

are t3/t4s similar to t4 turbos?
if so, then wat u said crx_boy7 isnt tru

if u want big just stic to t3/4 hybrid the turbine is a t3 so theres a lot less lag
iv seen SR20s run a good 400whp with great torqe and theres only a 200cc difference betwee na b18 and sr20

a t3/4 is a combination of a t4 compressor joined to a t3 turbine
this combination was designed to run with less lag and still hav the t4 power

id personally get a gt28rs. boost comes on at about 3500rpm and keeps on boosting all the way to 9000rpm. these turbos are very responsive, the is virtually no lag.

indeed... gt28rs is the way to go on a street driven honda... defientely considered by most to be the ideal turbo for a street honda

is it worth more then the t3/t4 hybrid?when does the t3t4 start spooling and stop spooling at?

that's a very broad question that varies a lot with what engine you have and what trim t3/t4... there are many different ones and they'll all behave differently

that sad, there isn't a t3/t4 I'd rather have than a gt28rs

the Gt28RS is worth about $1500 from GCG.... im looking at getting one my self, well either that or a GTiR t28.they are both very simular from what i understand.

they arnt similar. the RS is f*cking ball bearing ffs. u can trim them almost the same though, but still very differnt beasts.

for ur 18c, id grab a gt2871r with a .82 a/r

there is a t03/04 and while i dont kno much about turbos the t3/4 hybrid is a garret t3 turbine(exhaust side) with a t4 compressor(blower side) basically like a t3 but a bit more lag. on the other hand as ur revs rise the boost will rise more than a t3 compessor as it has a larger compressor from the T4!!!!!!! got it

and i dont kno wat a 74 turbo is but if u drive like me "REDLINE" then a T3/4 would make more sence than a gt28 but if u want a daily "traffik car" with a bit of drag action at night then a gt28 is definitly a wiser choise

if u want to find out when the t3/4 starts spooling then find the turbo for sale on the net and if its a good supplier then he will give u a sheet that will show u a graf for how much the turbo spools to start building boost and when its spinning too hard and runs out of puff there is a lot of factors to a turbo and each new turbo comes with a graff to show its behaviour dont be afraid to shop around for the best overall performance
