I've just installed a set of springs a few days back and jus happen to be experiencing some "sqeaky" noise at the rear suspension today - 3 days after installation. There was no sqeaky noise when i drove home after installation. Is it normal? Do I need to let the springs adjust to the shocks or vice versa?

are they progressive springs?
squeaking could be caused by the coils rubbing against each other...
remedy... i believe whiteline make a tape that you wrap around the coils to reduce noise or you could just cut up some garden hose and try that...
these are reccommendations only... try at your own risk

Thanks for the help guys.
Yes, they are progressive springs. It sounds a lil like something knockin at the rear... kinda like a loose exhaust pipe.. but everythings tight. not really squeaking noise now. doesn't come on all the time tho. Any idea?

fongyfong: I dun think its the brakes simply coz i wasnt braking at all, when the i heard the noise. :)

dundas: you can still pick up the noise, its darn irritating. :(

I jus checked and realised that the screws for the shocks at the rear werent tightened.. in fact they were pretty loose. hehe. tightened them and its all good now.. still a lil noise at times, but rarely.

Cheers dudes.

wtf watch out mate ! Last thing you want is your suspension working its way loose at 110k's around a corner !

Guys n girls PLEASE re-check/retighten all main bolts and parts after a suspension install - after 100-200kms of normal driving.
