yo dudes, i'm not too sure if this is the correct section to post this tread but anyways i find that my dc2's headlight covers are a tad yellow, probably from the heat from headlights after the years..

jus wondering whats the cheapest way to rectify that, instead of replacing the covers.

thanks in advance dudes.

sand it down with 800 n 1200 grit sand paper until the yellow gone. spray with clear coat....

I had the same problem, decided to try one of those clay bars on them. Came up like a treat. Oh and it seemed to work better with minimal water used during application.

Are you serious ?

Even though I reckon this will only ruin your headlight, I would recommend trying this on some busted commodore headlight you buy from the wreckers for $2 bucks first.

tracer: did u use the claybar on the exterior of the headlight casing? or did u open up the housing and clean the interior?

800 is probably a bit to coarse aye, i'd go minimum 1200.. or you can get a cut, and give it a buff with that.. it made my lenses come up like new..

How would you get to the interior ?

The casings are sealed with the exception ofthe plug that you can change the headlight bulb.

It is the exterior (i think)

hey dude,

yeh its the exterior. you can take them apart but thats a bitch.. i had to do that to my type r lenses as i didnt like the yellow fog lights, so i took them apart and smashed the yellow glass housing, cleaned the housing and put them back together..

hehe you obviously got the JDM lights, I like those yellow foggies.

Actually there are a little too much like the S13 silvia lights, i see why you ditched em.
