sunroof tinting stuff

hey guys,
ive got a 98 vtir and was wondering how to take off the sunroof tint....

umm... im not too sure if mines aftermarket or not but when i look through the sunroof... its like a black sheet of rubber with heaps of holes to let light through, its not the same as normal window tinting...

is this the same for yours?

Yeh. I owned a 98 as well as a 95 and this was an addition to the 98 update.

argh its so annoying...dosent let any light in at all... anyone know how to remove it...im tempted just to get a stanley knife and cut it out

I don't think you can cut it out.
Not exactly sure of your setup, as TypeR's don't have Sunnies. But it's normally a Silk Screen sandwiched between two sheets of glass. I suppose cheaper ones might have gluged it in...doggy.
I thought that all sun-roofs must be made from laminated safety glass.
