tested out my gf's itr-t on the g-tech metre...
managed to only pull 14.73@105.6mph... its on 9psi
its been dyno'ed and did 103kw, 300+Nm though... some stock itr did only 74kw???

anyways my mates ek vtir hatch managed to only get 16.22 @ 102mph
do these times sound right?

I'm not sure about the boosted ITR...
but AFAIK the EK4 should be pulling slightly lower times than that.
However...

- were you running the "G-Tech" "meter" on the EK4 as well? Did you dial in the correct weight, etc etc? Even then i believe alot of people will tell you it'll be inaccurate (i've never used one, would like to have a go though :) )

- Is your mate a decent driver?

- Was it 55 degrees? hehe...

stock jdm ek4 sir did 16.2 sec according to hyperREV video
so ur EK4 quater mile time sounds pretty ok.

Bring it to wsid track so u can know ur exact quater mile time , as time slip dont lie.

the mph on EK vtir is not rite at all , with 102 mph u can break into 13 sec easy.

hmm the boosted itr .. might want to get that checked .. 14.7 sounds like a na stocker time ..

Boosted Type R should be going a lot quicker than 14.7

Better take it to WSID to confirm the QTR mile time

i found info that stock itr should 15's... but isnt that under perfect conditions with a professional driver???...
i mean i aint no pro but i guessed the ITR-t should be doing low 14s with ur avg driver =)
i can confirm that its beat a stock wrx, few gts skylines and 200's and a vx clubbie

btw i tested it on friday (overcast weather)
and as for my mates ek he did 17's that was me that did the 16.22.. yeah ur right about the 102 mph... i cant rem what it was now hahahaha

whats WSID stand for?..

Umm my mate Mirai has a 98 ITR. He whacked in a FMAX stage 3 turbo and ran an 11 something on street tyres and stock fuel rails etc. He told me it was being starved of fuel and that it was the scariest 11 seconds of his life.

I got a 16.205 last year in a stock EK4. 3 weeks after getting a new clutch too.
So i was either bogging the launch with 2.8-3.0 sec 60 foot times or spinning excessively and getting the same times.

I agree with TofuR, dosent seem right an ITR-T running 14.73 quarter and 103kw? definetly not right. Ive raced Vs stock WRX's and stock s15's and its either neck n neck or win by a about a car length depending on drag distance.
I have a friend in America and he has a Turbo ITR 99, bone stock internals, doing 12.98 quarter mile on 10psi on 16inch rims, street tyres. The whole car is basicly stock.

maybe it was a traction problem in the begining of the quarter mile

Ive run 14.9 on a stock JDM ITR. But 107 kws at the wheels on 9psi? means that ur tuner just dumped the fuel in there so u could run 9psi man. Take it down to 6psi and put some timing back into it, take out some fuel aswell, and ud probably make the same amount of power but with less torque man.

as for a stock ITR doing only 74kws, either theres something wrong with that ITR or the dyno is very very very very conservative man. VERY. ;)

the car usually runs 4psi.. ive put in a boost controller
the car is also running water/methanol injection to cool the air intake..

anyhow i better get the car checked over again...

Really? shit! I better get out there and drag something! I've been scared to drag anything except GLI Lancers and Excels coz I thought I'd get raped by anything else :D

my stock internal 93 hatch civic SI ( 1.6 twin cam no vtec) did 15.1@90mph with bolt ons only
and piggyback ecu.
old stock clutch too
2.1 sec 60 foot.

ITR dc2 with a good driver can hit mid 14 sec easy
