Hey Guys - im new to this website and love it!!!!

I recently bought a DC5 and its beautiful. Low kms, great condition, etc. ONly question i have is that sometimes i have trouble getting into 2nd gear. Its as if it 'shuts' me out and i have to either force it in or take it out then in again. Im not sure if its me being paranoid with a new car or what.

Any ideas?????? or similar problems????

Thanks!@

I think this is a common thing in DC5Rs (if I remember correctly on CRSX).

Is it only when cold?

maybe theres something obstructing you from pressing the pedal all he way in??

that happened to me with my last car, i had to take rubber stopper out of the back of the pedal and it shifted beautiful after that

2nd gear is usually stiff in dc5r. If you check out www.clubrsx.com goto the msg board and the "Australia" section.. there have been recent articles on how to make it more smoother by changing the transmission oil..

good luck!

I had this problem in my DC5R, but it was only when I was trying to get into first gear. I found that releasing the clutch then clutching would fix the problem. Quite annoying though when you're the first car at a busy light, and everybody's honking at you from behind when the light goes green and you can't move cos you can't get the damn car into 1st!

I also have 2nd gear grinding problem but it seems better or less problem now after I changed the honda tranny fluid.

i did a write up in clubrsx.com

using redline MTL gearbox oil helped my problem, but this wasnt as bad i felt as others had

I had that problem with my 3rd gear. But after a simple Transmission fluid change it was running smooth as.
