View Full Version : EG5 hatch - need some Help (DIY/etc)
hey guys, need some of your advice on few things
1. how do you take the side skirts off (OEM)
- some of the screw doesnt come off they just spin.. scared if i pull it i
break it ( planning to paint the skirt DIY)
2. anyone use an adjustable camber??
- just hated that having a lowered car eats the tires away... so just
planning to get an adjustable camber
(is it worth it and if so how much? where can i get it?
3. anyone know where i can get a OEm EG6 lips or type R lips price?where?
I heard its $80
4. sway bars- where can i get a 2nd one? how much?
also is type r sway bar a straight bolt on?
5. Anyone have problems with the aftermarket shocks the (bump stop) is going off (i can see the powder dust is falling on the shocks)
where can I get them and is it hard to DIY??
tHanKs people for the input.. :D although I got a few questions... hopefully this would be beneficial to others too :) thxxx

To get the side skirts off you have to try and get a fingernail or a small screwdriver underneath the top of the screw a bit then try and unscrew it while keeping pressure down on it. At least thats what I did. gl

yep, what Eclipsor said. Apply pressure to the outside of the plastic part whilst unscrewing and it should come out.
After unscrewing, push the side skirt towards the front of the car and it should pop right off.
Let us know how the painting goes, would be interested in the outcome there.

Type R sway bar will fit an EG but it is too thick... as in will cause issues with chassis later on - like ripping sub frame etc.
front type R sway bar is a bolt on to Eg SI or VTI
the rear one you need reinforcement kit.
yeah ITR front sway is bolt on..
Go to dealer and ask for your VTi civic (EG5) front lip.. it IS the 'normal' one. EG5 lip is the same as EG6. should be $60-80
but gee everyone else already said that.. you'd think i was just tryin to get my post's up ;)
