Can someone please explain this to me? I keep seeing it come up on this forum. In what way is it weak?

In a way that if you do nothing but drag non stop 24/7 then yes the diff will break very soon. Or in a way if you turbo the s2k to the extremes then yes will break also quite quickly.

In normal conditions u wont have a problem... it really hates clutch dumping from what iv heard.

You can do a nissan conversion for a reasonable price anyway, it'd probly be worth looking into.

Would it be safe to give a couple of drag strip runs?

Yeah thats fine, you can do a conversion as 91'lude said which includes the GTR diff and drive shafts, aparently the the Amuse GT1 with over 500HP uses that conversion. But if your running N/A, you should be fine.

just dont do 8k rpm dumps and you will be fine...5k rpm launches are perfect for the S2K anything more is just overkill imo.
