I love it how you over simplify everything.
And the Evo is just a lancer with a turbo!

LOL at people saying the IS-F is as unecessary to the IS350 as the Golf R is to the GTI... get a clue -.-... might aswell downgrade from a euro to a honda jazz using that logic
I was referring to being better than the Euro.

I'd be worried with a 'hero' plate like that lol! They do go hard though!

Just need to keep your licence mateToo right! I drive everywhere on cruise control. I think it's saved my licence 100 times over lol! Even better is I have never had a speeding ticket!!!

It will be harder in this car, just hold the pedal down for 2-3 seconds and you've already added a good 70-80km/h to your speed!

umm, so back to topic!

one thing that annoys me is the door lock little thingy, "pull up stick thing on the top of the door" (sorry forgot what they are called!)
1. when you lock the car they dont go all the way down, and still looks like the car is unlocked.
2. when you want to lean your arm on the door with the window down its in the exact spot i want to put my arm!

im considering somehow shortening them so they pop all the way down....

Yer me too but i sit far enough back my arm sits close to the b pillar. I wouldnt recommend shortening it to much as it is used to keep the metal bar that locks and unlocks your doors in place not sure if you can unscrew them but if you can maybe 8mm cut will be enough i think to make it flush

jbzonda
15-10-2011, 02:27 PM
Exactly Marquee, i wouldnt even mind if it popped up 2-3mm and that way it still helps the metal bar stay in place

Another thing that shits me is having to press the unlock button twice to unlock all the friggin doors!

really? my euro doesnt do that? 1 click and all doors unlock, i thought it was unusuall that i did not happen? my previous 7 years older magna had that feature.

anyone know whether that can be changed?

Agreed with the others too!
That is annoying as hell, even my gf's jazz and dad's toyota have the lock where the door open thing is at.
For a 'luxury' car, it's a pretty annoying and doesn't look very...suave~

But the Euro isn't a luxury car ;L.

The stick locks were common in older generations of cars, though they got rid of it in the CU2.

I thought the TSX served in the niche market between your normal Japs and the likes of the entry IS250?

Well, when i meant 'luxury' i don't mean the high class stuff, but still somewhat luxury compared to the others but im sure u get it.
I understand that most older cars have stick locks however if the cl9 can open all its windows with the remote and (recently discovered) close said windows with key in door + heated seats + rain senor wipers.
You would think it could continue its 'luxurious-ness' by changing the stick lock to sidedoor locks or w/e.
just my 2 cents....and rant. lol

so i went car hopping yesterday, and last placed i looked was at honda, facelift euro interior trim feels so rough. you're definitely will be seeing alot of dead skin from ur elbows on the centre console and drivers/passenger door arm rests. def prefer first gen cu2 alot more.

(and WTF is a honda city?!!? its worse than the jazz!

You have to be kidding, to me the new interior trim is better quality & no less comfortable after a 3 hour trip.

been driving my bros CL9n few things to note, feels too big lol, maybe im just to use to a small civic and feels too high.... Engine feels great, but i find all the torque is found around the 3k rpm range, so that means i gotta keep the revs a bit high to get goin, but once im in the torque band, it feels like a V6, weight of the car is so much more noticeable, and a major thing i notice is the top end of the k24 isnt that great, it kinda runs outta puff after 4th gear, keeps going but doesnt seem to want to go faster (In a closed environment) but other wise i think the cl9 euro is a fantastic car

everything else is a pro, especially the GB, nice and tight, much like a S2k

you really think a company that spends a shit load of money on marketing has not done this kind of research? i am quite sure they understand that ozhonda is a very very poor representation for the australian honda customer base ;)

but yes there are loads of cars which i wish manufacturers had brought in (it aint just honda... look at toyota and nissan!)... i guess the fact that they are rarer makes them more desireable aswell!

well i do agree that ozhonda may be a bad representation of the australian market.. but if theyve got the market research right.. at least they wudve got the diesel euro. to the very least.. then probably a euro wagon.. we all know a typical growing aussie family (in general) loves the grunty diesels

well yes i do know that.. maybe the city was a bad example.. and ive got noothing aginst it.. but i think its just badly positioned or priced. i remember the difference between the vti civic and city when i was looking for a car 2 years back was like 1-2k.. and for that 2k sacrifice.. you get a smaller engine, smaller car, inferior interior etc.. if they wna charge a premium for the city.. they better put in more features :)

From the direction of Honda market share and sales figures going in the past 3 years, Honda'd probably want to get a new marketing firm to do their work.

I reckon we're a pretty good representation of the market here.

When the existing owners and fun boys start to say negative things about the way the company is going and the next car they are buying (VW *cough*), thats a pretty clear sign/warning
