View Full Version : changing the cam belt
hi is changing the cam belt an easy thing to do at home on the B16a?
is there any tips that will make it easier for me to do or look out for?
or should i take it to a mechanic?
thanks
hardest part is removing the crank bolt. usually u need some kind of hi-po air tools of 700++lbs to snap the nut.
i have an air tool, thanks for that

Yeh, unless you have the tools, its best you take to the mechanic.

you can do the job at home but you must make sure crank shaft is on top dead center & the two camp shaft marks "up" pointing up, and the 2 lines on the cam gears must be facing eachother.
