Just wondering your input on the fuel consumption of the s2k. How many km's do it get with highway driving or maybe just cruising around town? How many litres of fuel does it take?

About 390-430klm depending on how you drive. Drive hard around 390klm, drive average to cruisy then about 430klm. Not sure how many lt it takes, cant remember.

The best i have managed to get is 430km with normal cruising (no vtec).

It is a 50L* tank and the empty light first pops up around 2-3bars left. For the 430km i drove it down to the last bar (it dissapeared when i turned on the engine and comes on later while driving)

The best i have managed to get is 430km with normal cruising (no vtec).

It is a 60L tank and the empty light first pops up around 2-3bars left. For the 430km i drove it down to the last bar (it dissapeared when i turned on the engine and comes on later while driving)

fuel light feels like it comes on abit too early (2-3 bars). Usually costs me about 50-55 bucks to fill up a full tank of PULP @ 1.22 ish /L

when driving normally (shifting at 3-4k rpm) i get about 420ish but with a car like this its hard to drive it 'cruisy' so i usually gte about 380-390 out of one tank

Apparently, it is pretty good for a sports car, a little below average for a 2 litre car.

Basically, its something that you don't have to worry about compared to turboed cars.

My car gets 200-250 kms until I need to fill it up.

Yeah, hmm...I'm just thinking about how much i'd roughly spend on petrol since i got a 1.8 and its get me about 480km with a 45 lt tank. Now, i drive around 130km a day so its a hard decision.

well, my previous s2000 (00 model) used to get about 420kms on the highway and about 350kms around town. My friend used to own a 01 model and he could squeeze about 30-40kms more on each tank compared to mine. Apparently, the 01 and later s2000 had a diff tune from factory which makes it run slighly leaner. Not 100% sure on that, but that's what me and my friend researched. (so if someone happens to prove me wrong, then don't flame me!) Hope this helps. :)

49L (1L spare) for 430kms, thats great!

All that time i thought the tank was 60L! Must have been mistaken with the Rx8, they get under 400kms with their tank. Not worth it for the power it produces.

475kms from 44 litres is my best fuel economy
otherwise im averaging 10L/100km from a bit of city and highway driving.
i drive 50kms 5 times a week to work and half of the journey is freeway driving 100kmh in 6th
i still give it a bit of shit most days though

you cant produce 230hp without skimping on fuel
