B16A EG Breeze

just need some advice here on a EG B16A Civic Breeze. basically, the guy is willing to sell one to me for $8500. do you rkn it's a good deal? or should i let it go? that's the asking price btw, so i may be able to lower it a lil.

i understand that breezes don't have power windows, etc. air con on the other hand i think would bother me, so any ideas how much it'll cost to get the air con hooked up? and also any ideas how much it'll be to do a brake conversion? cause it still has drum brakes!

really good price. but get it checked by a mechanic. my breeze has air con too. u can add power windows later if you want.

why do you want all that shit put on for?
definantly get it checked out before you get it and make sure everything that was needed for the conversion (fuel system etc) has been done proper!

yehh dont worry bout the air con unless u really want it, jus makes the car heavier and less room, and most people hardly ever use it. Ive used mine bout 5times since i bought it lol jus waists petrol and makes it go slower haha

i think i know the car... is it in melbourne, red, it could be my old engine. ask what computer he is using and if he has changed the brakes?

yeah that's right. it's a red Breeze from Melb. he said his using a type R computer, i dunno if it's from a Civic or Integra.

he hasn't changed his brakes cause they're still running drums at the rear.

took it for a test drive today. it was pretty quick. the paint is faded and there's scratches everywhere. the only thing that it's got going for this car is pretty much the speed...

not really, sorry mate.
but the machanic told the guy with a eg that the enine had only done 68,000km's when i'm sure it's almost done 100,000km's.
if he hasn't changed the front brakes then bargian it down.
the ecu is from my engine which the machanic took... he lied to me and told me that my ecu was also a type r ecu, but it wasn't! then i had to import a ctr ecu.
he hasn't had the car with the engine in it for long, only a couple of months? so get it checked out, but obvously make sure not by he's machanic!

yeh thanks for that mini_s2000. yeh he said the engine has only done 70,000km which i highly doubt. the mechanic told him that he chucked in a civic type r ECU in for him so that's what his telling me.

yeh he hasn't had the car for long. it was weird, we agreed to a price then when i asked to take the car somewhere for an inspection, he suddenly said he had no time & everything and wouldn't do it. he said i can take someone to come & look at it but his not gonna bring it to a mechanic.

so i'm a bit sus, so i'm gonna leave it i guess.

would your car happen to be a purple civic hatch mini_s2000?

Definitely suss if he won't let you take it to a mechanic, good move on leaving it dude, better safe than sorry

Ask him your after another "final" test drive before you put a deposit and during the drive, just stop by at a Mechanic lol

Book it in beforehand ofcourse and yeah go from there!

- if u want 2 knw about the ecu just check the ecu code on the side..
(located front passanger side on the bottom near the door)... :thumbsup:
- btw have it check wif mechaninc lol if doesnt let u 4get it man cause i
reckon theres too many faults in da car man. :) also for 70 000km thats
bulls**t esp if he change the engine u will neva know how many k's = considering the paint is already faded??(civic breeze wif drum brakes is 1992-93 model)

mine breeze didnt have air-con but i installed it ahhhh - bitch of a job dont not recommend
