EK dash in EG

Im one of those ppls that dont like the eg dash (to put it nicely) altho im in love with egs. been searching a little and found little on this topic but yeah, seems like a gr8 idea. integra and del dol dashes dont fit properly so wouldn't it look sick with an ek dash that fits like a charm? does anyone know of any complications with this and has this been done before? :wave:

Even seen DC5R dashes in EGs.

ek dashes are ugly too.

delsol and tegra dash fit better then an ek. They are almost bolt in.

??? are u abs sure?
a few other ppl say ek dashes fit perfectly (although doesn't bolt right in i dun think). do u mean it fits right (dimensions are same as eg dash) but doesnt bolt up or do u mean doesnt fit right and doesnt bolt in? :confused:

with the DC2 dash, it fits pretty well i reckon, its just if u wanna put the DC2 doors on, thats where it becomes difficult and u end up having gaps. Theres a DIY on this on honda-tech..

not sure about the EK dash into EG, but personally id prefer the DC2 interior, much nicer than EK

dc/delsol will fit in with less difficulties. u will have to fab up some mounts but everything else will line up and bolt in.

ek dash however will be more of a headache.

note that dc/delsol have the same chassis build as the eg.

whoa... complications & mixed opinions. another guy claims he measured it and its exactly same length and width, dont know bout mounts tho. guess im gonna hav to get 1 and find out for myself. any1 got a spare 6g dash around (old, cracked, warped whatever). if so, ill do a complete how to write up 4 u all... :thumbsup:

lol.. doubt anyone does, and if they do they would want money for it more than likely. i think your gonna have to try the wreckers dude..

i reckon your spot on there zelda i never thought of it that way, good point.. the dc/eg/delsol have the same chassis built so u would think they would fit better than the ek

haha... how much do they sell 4 new here in oz? also, whats a good price at a wreckers, u know, for one in average condition?

Sorry, no idea dude. Not sure on the availability of them either. I think if u are willing to spend a bit of money on it, go for it :)

I reckon if i ever get around to it and arent spending money on other parts of my car, i might try DC2 dash into EG, the only put off for me though is the doors

i could have an ek1 dash up for grabs in the next few months, but its pretty shitty cos its clock has 200,000 k's and theres no tacho

hey hey! if u hav no other use for it ill be more than happy to take if off ur hands hehe... i will turn it into a part of history, when ugly eg dashes are banished 4eva. or better yet, u shud do the swap and show me how to do it :D

paul1985... go 4 it! in oz, not many dash conversions/swaps, it wudd be a stand out project!
